Once you have placed your AEDs into service there is a warm feeling that you are heart safe, ready to answer the call to the nation's number 1 killer, Sudden Cardiac Arrest. As time passes, there is a high risk that the person in charge of your AED program retires, transfers, is lost to downsizing or the task at hand gets lost in the day to day work load. You would be shocked at the percentage of AEDs in service that have outdated pads or dead batteries. This could be an expensive liability that can be brought under control with the Stop Heart Attack Management and Maintenance Package. Here is how it works:
- Stop Heart Attack will provide a dedicated account manager to oversee the tracking and maintenance of your AEDs. This allows for tighter oversight and less time-intensive work for your personnel.
- The account manager will send a monthly email to your appointed personnel to do a physical AED check for readiness. They will be asked to check the AED ready light and pad expiration date.
- After the physical check, the location manager would interactively report each unit by serial number giving you the peace of mind that your facility is ready for a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.
- If the serial numbers are not checked, or there is no response from the location AED manager, your AED program manager is alerted to follow up and encourage compliance.
- Stop Heart Attack can give you a report at anytime showing where your AEDs are located, who is accountable for each unit by serial number and if they are in compliance.
- If there is a patient use, stop Heart Attack will retrieve the device via UPS and provide a next business day loaner AED.
- The event data will be downloaded and sent to your authorized personnel for medical oversight and documentation. This data will not include patient information. Only the AED’s rescue history will be sent therefore bypassing any HIPPA issues.
- Your device will them be returned to you with new pads at no charge and ready for use. At this point, our loaner AED will be returned.
