On average, only 10% of individuals who suffer cardiac arrest outside of the hospital survive, but survival rates jump to almost 40% when victims are treated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and an automated external defibrillator (AED). SCA can happen to anyone, at any time without warning.
AEDs should be an integral part of your emergency plans. It could be the difference between life and death for a family member, employee, or passerby.
